Edition 8.0 of Professionals’ Night "Learn Tomorrow. Today" is behind us!

Night of Professionals is a recurring event organized by the Greater Poland Centers for Crafts Support, Dual and Vocational Education.

In the Poznań subregion, Night of Professionals was held simultaneously in three counties:

  • Poznań County – J.J. Śniadecki School of the Food Industry in Poznań,
  • Środa County – Hipolit Cegielski Vocational and Continuing Education Center in Środa Wielkopolska
  • Nowy Tomyśl County – County Sports Center in Nowy Tomyśl

The main purpose of this initiative is to support young people in consciously choosing their educational and career paths and to highlight the fact that vocational and technical education offers many opportunities.

ŚRODA WIELKOPOLSKA

The Hipolit Cegielski Center for Vocational and Continuing Education in Środa Wielkopolska, with the involvement of the County Office, hosted the Night of Professionals in Środa County for the second time.

Guests who attended, thanks to interactive workshops, presentations, and demonstrations, could immerse themselves in the world of professions. Numerous attractions, such as cooking shows, barista workshops in gastronomy rooms, or presentations by uniformed classes (e.g., displays of uniforms, rescue equipment, working at heights, and driving simulators) allowed young people to test their aptitude in various professions and obtain information at the career counseling zone.

Qualified specialists answered students’ questions about their future career paths.

The highlight of the Night of Professionals in the Środa subregion was the performance by Marta Mąka – a semi-finalist of The Voice Kids – and shows by the Oversway dance school.

The event would not have been possible without the involvement of employers, companies, educational institutions, uniformed services, and local organizations.

NOWY TOMYŚL

Nowy Tomyśl hosted the Night of Professionals for the third time, with the County Office and the Center for Crafts Support, Dual and Vocational Education in Poznań as the main organizers. This year's organizer was the County Sports Center in Nowy Tomyśl.

For primary schools, three main thematic zones were prepared:

  • career counseling zone, where participants could receive individual advice on planning their further educational paths;
  • professions zone, in which over 30 fields of study were presented from the rich educational offerings of secondary schools in Nowy Tomyśl County;
  • employers’ zone, where young people had the opportunity to talk with local craftsmen, employers, representatives of uniformed services, and institutions involved in youth vocational education.

Numerous shows, workshops, contests, and career quizzes provided professional inspiration, including a wicker fashion show prepared by master basket weaver Katarzyna Wachowiak-Szweda, a makeup demonstration by Magdalena Kowala, a meeting with sports champion Bartosz Bambecki, the "Professional Power" quiz, and numerous musical performances by invited artists.

The Night of Professionals enjoyed great interest from primary school students. It was an opportunity for them to learn about the specifics and needs of the local labor market, as well as to test themselves in various professions in order to choose the educational path best suited to them in the future.
