From October 6 to 10, 2025, a delegation from the Regional Coordination Team of the Greater Poland Voivodeship conducted a study visit to Denmark, carried out as part of the National Recovery Plan project entitled "Building a system for coordinating and monitoring regional actions for vocational education, higher education, and lifelong learning, including adult learning."
The purpose of the visit was to learn about Danish solutions supporting adult education, workforce activation, and cooperation between educational institutions, local communities, and employers.
The program included, among others, meetings at Copenhagen's Folk High Schools – an institution that has created a unique model of folk universities based on the Grundtvig tradition, whose mission is to develop civic and social competences. The delegation also visited the Royal Danish Library, a modern center of culture and education, and took part in a training session devoted to the idea of lifelong learning (LLL) and practical tools for its implementation.
Another point in the program was a visit to University College Copenhagen and the Jobcenter in Faxe, where the Danish model of workforce activation, the system of collaboration with employers, flexible labor market tools, and a wide range of support offered to job seekers were discussed.
The visit enabled an analysis of effective Danish practices in the areas of education, career counseling, and labor market policy, as well as an exchange of experiences and reflections on the possibilities of adapting them in Greater Poland. The knowledge and observations gained will provide valuable support in further developing the regional lifelong learning system.
The undertaking is financed under measure A3.1.1 Supporting the development of modern vocational education, higher education, and lifelong learning, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO), entitled "Building a system for coordinating and monitoring regional activities for vocational education, higher education, and lifelong learning, including adult learning," in the Greater Poland Voivodeship.
